In ancient Hawaiian culture:
Tiki faces are believed to have protective powers, are closely associated with the gods and deities of Hawaiian mythology, seen as symbols of prosperity and fertility, depict fierce expressions, have warrior-like features and exude vibrant energy.
The designs also appear in various forms of art, jewelry, and even on clothing items.

Greetings from Fresno, CA -- Honestly don't recall ever having seen a tiki "glass" previously; have been accustomed to seeing the ceramic tiki "mugs." I would like to ask if there are any identifying marks on the underside of the glass that might give me an idea of the era of the glass, for example, any "Made in China" statement which would, of course, indicate much more recent manufacture? Thank you -- George
