12 inch bowl ? Handmade, antique, Indian basket

From Maine, antique handmade ? Indian basket or bowl. 12 inches across and 4 inches deep. Seems to be made of straw or grass. There is a strong rim at the top. It is structurally solid. It is red and cream in color with a few strands loose. I am not touching it. As is, don't dare to clean or change in any way.
