these 11 vintage Garfield comic books include the very first one and 10 more from the 1970s - 1980s and one from 1990. As a kid I was a Garfield fanatic and collected every book I could find. this is a treasure trove of the earliest books in the collection. Most books are in good shape but a few have bent pages, tears and one is missing a back page. However, where would you be able to get 12 of the early Garfield books all in a bundle except in my closet that always has the coolest vintage stuff?!?

This is a good deal as you are basically paying about $6 for each book at $65! That is about how much each book cost when they were new and now each book especially the first one is worth about double that!

@vtgcovergirl me too! When I was a kid, I had to find every book I could find. I am keeping 2 copies of the first edition that I will never part with. The first book had some adult humor!

@vtgcovergirl I have 3 copies of Jim Davis’s first book, one is in this bundle! It is the best one of them all, in my opinion! Garfield was a cool cat with attitude. I absolutely love him! 🥰

@vtgcovergirl i just never understood why Odie did not talk like Garfield did. Garfield always appeared to be smarter then Odie. I also will not see the Garfield movies. I saw the previews for the first movie with Bill Murray doing Garfield’s voice and I was not impressed. 🥴

@vtgcovergirl yes, Murray is even embarrassed when talk show hosts ask him about the Garfield movies. I like Murray especially in the early Ghostbuster movies but I think he was a poor choice for Garfield’s voice.
