Genuine Diamond solitaire engagement ring set in 14k yellow gold. Diamond is approx 1.16 carat, pear shape, brilliant cut, M-N color and SI(1)/SI(2) clarity. Retail value at time of purchase (1997) was $3,485. Today, similar size, shape, settings retail for $5000 or more. Selling on behalf of the executor of my late grandfather’s estate, therefore price is firm unless authorized by beneficiaries, and no trades. Not sure of exact band size, will be measured by jeweler and updated ASAP.

rd231702 @lacenurse32 for the most part, yes. I would have to get explicit permission from the executor and beneficiaries before I could accept or negotiate any offers, since this legally belongs to an estate and not me personally.

rd231702 @linley_s it is a pear cut. We are not sure why the certification says marquis, as even the picture of the diamond that is attached to the certification shows it is pear cut.

rd231702 @linley_s the photos are the actual ring and diamond that I personally took just a few weeks ago, and the handwritten information is from the jeweler on the purchase date.

dstrubke @rd231702 the paperwork shows white gold your description shows yellow gold. Is it white or yellow the photos are hard to tell for sure? Did you find out what size it is?

rd231702 @dstrubke the band is yellow gold (first sentence in the description), the prongs holding the diamond are what is the white gold. I have not had a chance to take the ring to check the size, it’s actually in a safe at my mother’s and she’s been out of town. She got back this weekend so I will do my best to take it this week to check the size. I do know it is larger than a 5.5 (my ring size) just not sure how much bigger.
