This is real old fashioned metal SILVER Christmas Tree tinsel like your Mom or Grandma had on her tree in the 20th century until 1969. This beautiful silver colored real lead tinsel will hang perfectly on your Christmas tree and NOT slither off onto the floor like modern Mylar / Plasticized, so called "vintage" tinsel which is made of Saran (plastic). Real metal foil tinsel doesn't cling to your clothing due to static electricity Real metal tinsel can be recycled at the end of the Christmas season by spreading a piece of recycled pretty gift wrap paper and removing the strands of tinsel from the tree to the paper. Roll them up in the paper. Store with the ornaments until the next Christmas season and reuse. This tinsel is approximately 18" long. This German made tinsel (called "stanniol lametta" in Germany) has a solid lead core with shiny tin coating so it can be handled safely. jodinitti Can you please tell me if this price is for one pkg? Or for the several pkgs that you are displaying in your photos? Also, approx how many strands per pkg - 25-35?

the_red_sled @jodinitti Price is for one package. The strand count varies per packages as unlike American tinsel where it was factory packed, German tinsel was packed in people's homes as a cottage industry and they had a sample from the tinsel company but they just "eyeballed" the amount so every single package is different. Printers of the folders sold to many different tinsel packing companies in Germany and they never put a strand count on the packages as each company included a different amount.
