This is considered trading and trading is based on a trust system as poshmark describes it. If you don’t receive anything then it’s not a scam but you can’t get your money back and if you want to give money away this is how it’s done ✅

It doesn’t even say how the winner is picked or anything other then a picture of an AJ1 and you’re being charged shipping because it’s considered a trade and trading on posh is based on a trust factor which means if you think you can trust that you’ll get what they say and you end up getting nothing or something different then it’s nothing you can do about it.

I've noticed one glaring issue with these shoes that I'm not seeing anyone mentioning. NIKE. This is reminding me of the Lil Nas shoe (I think that's his name) Nike went after him for "customizing". I'm not seeing anywhere on here that this is shoe is sanctioned by NIKE. If it's not okayed by NIKE, then it violates PoshMark's own policy.

I've never heard of this guy, so I don't know if he has permission to use the NIKE symbol. I highly doubt he does. Just my thoughts on this listing . . .

@kanek1025 I think it's called Trademark Infringement. A posher cannot take a designer button from one thing & "customize" something else with it. I'm not seeing how this shoe is any different.🤷♀️

@kanek1025 "Air Jordan 1" is also a federally protected trademark like the swooshes. NIKE finally got that protection earlier this year (June?) for trade dress. NIKE sued designer Warren Lotas last year. They had enough of people profiting off their brand & designs. These shoes would be considered "bootlegs", if this designer doesn't have NIKE's blessing.

@kanek1025 Oh. I knew they had issues early on when they initially filed last year (July 2020). Thought I saw it was finally granted around June 2021. Either way, I'm surprised PoshMark didn't do their due diligence on this. If this shoe has NIKE's blessings, then it should say so.

Nike and Jordan patient the overall design of the air Jordan 1 to stop this stuff from happening. Plain and simple the lone is being crossed here and yes they did make an example out of WL during the process of the patents of the blueprints of the overall design of AJ1’s

@kanek1025 👍 I understand. Due to the fact Posh is promoting this on their newsfeed, that's why I pointed this out. Even IF someone were to win this, others may not be aware of this issue. I see comments talking about reselling these IF they won. That could be a BIG mistake on their part. Like I said, NIKE doesn't play. 🤷♀️

@flashcwa Please see my comments above. NO WHERE in the description of these shoes does it say NIKE. YET, the iconic NIKE trademarked swooshes are on it. NIKE also holds a trade dress patent for the Air Jordan 1 design/name. NIKE sued another designer. It doesn't appear that THIS shoe has NIKE's blessing. So whoever wins it may get burned if they attempt to sell it.

@flashcwa Yes, I know Posh sanctioned this. That's why I was surprised they allowed their brand to be on an unauthorized shoe. It goes against their own policy. If this was authorized by NIKE, it would and should have NIKE in the listing. Doesn't matter the money is being donated. It also doesn't clearly define HOW much is going to the school. Is it 100%? 🤔 No idea.

@manyseasonsofme I know of 1 lawsuit of a company that was customizing FAKE Nikes and that’s why they sued. Ceeze has done collabs with. Toyota, Sprite, Xbox and Puma and plenty other big Companies to name just a few…. Hasn’t been sued and don’t think he will be. He only uses Nikes. Safe to say these are not only legit, but whoever wins is 1 Lucky B to own a pair of his sneakers!
