gracefulginger Hi Jenny! I'm right there with you, and have been fighting with SSD going on year 4 now, after 7 yrs of chronic pain. I ended up having to move in with my mom and stepdad, so, trust me when I say... I get it. Chronic pain is the worst IMO, because no one can see it. They think you look fine, so you must "be" fine. I guess for some, ignorance truly IS bliss. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

wyndchasrborzoi Hi Jenny. I did report the hack to PM Sunday; still no response. Have a different question for you now. I just received a NWT wallet I bought on PM. She wouldn't accept less than full asking price, then packed it into a box maybe 3x larger than the item with a sheet of tissue paper (not wrapped), so it was sliding around the whole trip. It seems to be ok, but is a print that could have been damaged by the rubbing. Would you say anything in the rating or feedback or ignore it - no harm, no foul?

bansera Hi sweetie my heart goes out for you being in such pain.. after I had cancer which I know it was God that healed me because the cancer was so bad that only he could had perform that a miracle even in the doctors knew it was my faith in God but it kind of left me the medicine I was taking was awful and that left me with a lot of pain in my joints and neuropathy but it's okay this shall pass too you are a beautiful girl I can tell I will be praying for you

Then two days after he said he would buy he sent an offer and cancelled it immediately before I even saw it... I clearly had shoes marked at final price. Then when I asked why he didn't purchase like he said multiple times he was going to he said he would give me 15$ about 25% of my final Price.

Many get fibro dx bc Drs don't want to do their job and look for root causes- and most with fibro have chronic infections. It's crazy! But for future reference asking a chronically ill person you don't know if their life is really that bad isn't helpful. But yes my life is pretty awful right now and has been especially bad since I lost my only income and had a horrible miscarriage. libraemporium @blakrain111 I would have ended it by now if I hadn't found a pain Mgmt dr to at least help me suffer a little less but with the govt cracking down on pain patients in made to feel like I'm on parole just because I'm in pain. No one has right to judge another though and I would never presume to know or put a number on "how bad" someone's life is. Chronically ill folks have enough to deal with without needing to explain themselves to a stranger unless they've actually experienced it themselves.

No one would deal with that bs if they didn't have to. The system is so unfair. People go homeless waiting for benefits. There's no govt help for people who can't work and are just waiting in limbo, but there's unemployment for people in between jobs? It makes no sense.

I have nothing against FB or any social media, but I personally don't perceive it properly & internalize everything...it's just not good for me. FB is great for exposure to sell items to sustain yourself - very smart. And it's useful for connecting with others who relate/understand your situation (as you already said). The stigma towards people on disability or beneath a certain income bracket is deplorable. When u first got symptoms at 26 and they saw arthritis on my mri they tried to tell me it was normal aging lol. So many Drs ignored me so that arthritis turned into dis disease and now herniated discs

People think anyone on a gov. program is scamming. It's VERY difficult to scam SSI/SSDI. In FL, the process is a bit faster, but the rejection runaround is high - that's where most of the time is taken up. Bottom line is, I don't know where the empathy & compassion for others gone. You fight to live everyday & fight others who don't get it. Breaks my heart.

But, the time it would take to fight those Goliaths. 1 of many ailments my sister has is polycystic fibrosis. She has fibroids on her uterus that cause heavy bleeding, but she had to diagnose herself because her former OBGYN wanted to body shame her over her weight (one of the symptoms of PCOS is weight gain that's hard to control &/or lose). Only after pressing him did he admit it was because of PCOS.

However, without any income I'm off most of my supps now cause I can't afford them. Magnesium I stay on no matter what, everyone is deficient and it works wonders and is responsible for over 300 functions in the body

In particular the ssdi dr who did my physical exam and yanked on my neck and injured me, struggled to watch me walk without my cane and fall and then say I was perfectly fine to work full time

libraemporium @mocharocha I would also sue the office of my old infectious disease dr who dropped me out of nowhere just because I had chronic pain. The dr was prescribing my pain meds until I found a pain dr (which I was told I had three months to do), then they drop me with Jess than a week of strong meds left you can't just stop taking and no refill which put me in the hospital where they wouldn't help either since it was chronic pain.

That Dr who did your physical exam sounds like a workmen's compensation Dr. When my mother was injured at work in 2012 (knocked over, fell on her head), he felt her swollen head, then said she could work after 3 days of rest -_- Also the PCOS supplements - my sister is in the same boat. She's researched it, but we're on a shoestring budget already...

Anytime there's a situation with chronic pain, they head for the hills (ironically, when you need them most). It literally makes me sick to read the shit you've gone through. All I can say is I'm so sorry & I have somewhat of an idea of what you've dealt with because everyday is like that with my sister (trying to procure the help & meds) she needs.

libraemporium @mocharocha I'm still under-treated pain wise and every time I ask to change meds he threatens to take ones I have away. Last time he told me that my pain meds weren't in my urine lol. That's bs cause I need them to function at all which I HATE. I just have a gene mutation that makes me metabolize analgesics really quickly. Most Drs have no clue about gene mutations and what each one does. I still want kids and can't be on meds or this poor and have them but time is running out.

I played my first "show" in years (2 songs) on mon at an open mike and we got offered a slot in a pretty big show featuring duets in a songwriters showcase. One of the other duets contains Mike Mills of R.E.M. So pretty excited will have to plan a lot to get through it but I hate not being able to play shows anymore

My kids band was doing really well too before I couldn't do it anymore. It was a huge project and I just couldn't organize it, plan shows write scripts etc anymore but I'm proud of the album we put out! It's called Good Mews.

I need to be playing to be happy it's part of my soul as an artist and I get really depressed when I don't play etc. I used to work full time, and was in 3 bands before I got sick. Went to school full time while working full time before that, so I've always been super active.

Took 4 years for disability & I was very young like you, just keep at it even if you get turned down, go back. U will get the backpay once u finally get disability, good luck!

twinkieheart @libraemporium Hi, I'm on poshmark to earn extra income in addition to my SSDI it is not enough to live on alone especially with a toddler, it took almost 2 years for me to get approved and sorting that time I was homeless I literally lived in my truck it was the most terrifying and painful experience of my life, thankfully i hired a lawyer because he was able to pull medical records with all my documented issues that was crucial. I feel you hun and i hope you're approved soon💜
