Vintage MCM Richelieu 16" 2-Strand Simulated Pearl Necklace in Presentation Case
Lot contains:
1. Richelieu 16" 2 strand simulated pearl necklace with a rhinestone embellished clasp.
2. Original Ivory satin-lined black velvet presentation box stamped Richelieu
3. Original Richelieu card
4. Pair of Screwback Marvella Faux Pearl Earrings. (Included as they were found together and likely worn as a set by the original owner).
Great condition! The necklace is like new! The presentation case has some age spots on satin lining. The exterior has some crushed velvet on top, probably from something sitting on it. The earrings are stamped Marvella and show some glue discoloration where the faux pearl is attached to the metal. See photos for details.
Richelieu Jewelry began in 1911 in Brooklyn, NY. They were well-known makers of simulated pearls in the 1940s and 50s. Some of the more expensive pieces had rhinestone embellished clasps and were sold in satin-lined presentation cases. They were purchased by the Lisner Company in the late 70s.

@myodessa Glad you are enjoying! I love the history of these pieces and can just imagine how delighted the original owner was, maybe for an anniversary gift and how she kept them so cherished over the years! I know you will love this set!! It's fantastic.
