Stunning VTG Turquoise & Lapis Lazuli Necklace

A serious stunner! Likely dates to 70’s or 80’s. A beautiful genuine Lapis Lazuli pendant loaded with pyrite, flanked by 2 darker Lapis teardrops. The remainder of the necklace is made of utterly fabulous genuine natural turquoise beads - each one unique, showing gorgeous variations in matrix shadings, as well as very slight variations in shape, as you’d expect with natural stone beads. Total length is 20”. The Lapis pendant measures 1” x 7/8”. There are silver tone flower beads & a toggle clasp. It wasn’t uncommon in the 70’s/80’s to find semiprecious stones matched with silver or gold tone metals. Semiprecious stones were much more common then. The beads are strung on Tiger Tail. What a gorgeous set of vintage gemstone beads. Turquoise particularly is becoming increasingly rare & 90% of the turquoise in today’s market is clever faux.
