If you've ever come across a situation as a seller or buyer please share to help fellow Poshers from making the same mistake. My first lesson is from ordering a dress and not asking specifics such as exact measurements. The size sometimes means nothing as there are so many different body types and styles that vary widely.

maya15 Also learned that you should weigh anything you post before posting to make sure it's under the 2lb limit that's covered for shipping otherwise you'll end up delaying the delivery which is critical for your buyer...furthermore you might lose your buyer and that's "NO BUENO"!!!

maya15 ALWAYS ask if what you're buying comes from a smoke/pet free home. The smell of smoke really gets into clothing fibers and it is no fun getting one of those packages in the mail...yes! I learned the hard way:(

alibfcat Hi! I didn't weigh first and my package was 3lbs with my usual 2lb Posh shipping label. The USPS folks at the counter calculated the extra postage for me to pay and added on to the package with no delays. Of course they can't do this if you just drop in a mailbox. Some items are surprisingly heavy so weighing before you print the label is very good advice! Thanks 👏👏👏🍪👍✈️😘🎸

donna0219 Another bit of advice that is helpful when listing or buying shoes, ask for the insole measurement..since many different designers cut shoes differently, you can get a better sense if they will fit by asking for the insole measurement from toes to heel and across the widest part of the shoe. Then take a white piece of paper and trace your foot (like we used to do with our hands as kids) and measure the tracing when your done! This way you don't make a potentially expensive purchase that doesn't fit🎉🌟

maya15 @donna0219 That is a GREAT idea!!! I never buy shoes online because I feel like there's no way to tell if they'll fit because like you said, every designer is different, now I know the trick;) Thx for sharing:).

maya15 @linniepooh Yes! That is huge! I'm still hesitating on posting an absolutely gorgeous e event gown that I bought from another Posher because I didn't ask and I have a feeling it came from a smoking environment. I've let it air out for days and the smell is almost gone but still not sure. Oh and to top it off its such a delicate dress you can only spot clean it :/

donna0219 @enigma tell me about it!! People think the euro sizes run small ...when it is actually the other way around..lol. The paper tracing trick works great!! 😘

maya15 @italia You just made me think that sometimes I buy from the Juniors section and those sizes are different from women sizes but I have completely forgotten to disclose that😁. Guess I have to to some research and update some of my listing, good thing I haven't sold any tops.
