Reed and Barton’s curious Renaissance pattern, released in the mid-Victorian era in 1886, features an ornate, handle with a face on the handle tip. The Victorian Era was a time of vast political reform and social change, including elevated and orchestrated dining rules, many that are still considered proper etiquette today. Members of the elite class began to use utensils for eating rather than simply using their fingers, and pieces of cutlery were invented for every possible dining challenge. In good, gently used vintage condition.
