@kmeower I bought a bronzer from some girl on here and she told me to send a payment of $17 on Paypal under "friends & family" so Paypal doesn't deduct an amount from her payment. Basically I should have known this was a red flag because if you send a payment as friends and family instead of "goods and services", you can't open a case against them to get your money back when stuff like this happens. This girl stole money from me and Paypal couldn't even do anything about it. I hate scammers and people who take advantage of others. Paypal is great, just watch out when people request money under friends and family!!

I know plenty of people who have sent as family and friends and got their money back when scammed. You need to call PayPal and let them know

@leesuhcakesz this happened in August. Do you think I can still get my money back? Back then I was new to Paypal transactions so I thought I was pretty much helpless. If I open my past statements, the transaction is probably still there

@juliatranx I use pp and asked for friends or family as a payment so that I don't have to pay a lot for fee, but if the buyer wants to return it or unsatisfied I make a full refund..I guess it depends on what the buyer and seller agreed upon..and yes there is a lot of scammer out there all they care about is how to get money from you it doesn't matter if you're unhappy on what you purchase from them ..reputation is not important anymore for this people just be aware and more careful..

@mskulitco yeah that's understandable. I can see cases where f&f would be more convenient. Back then I was new to Poshmark so I pretty much gave everyone the benefit of the doubt. What I meant was that I advise everyone to be more cautious when sending payment as friends and family because people like her give others who are honest a bad rep. In the future I would send a payment as f&f only if I know that person has good feedback and is genuine. So she jipped me $17 and I recently discovered her profile again and she scammed others too. It's really disgusting and sad people like that exist

@juliatranx $17 bucks! That's crazy I made a full refund of $160 and I didn't have problem with it or the buyer..yup gotta be more careful..don't you worry for $17 she will get a bad karma she won't even forget.
