I have a rare black seal fur waist length coat that I am considering selling...it is more like size 8 but will fit 4-10 comfortably. No idea what to price it, but I do know they are expensive since it is now illegal to hunt seal. I inherited this from my grandmother in Massachusetts. There are no furriers here where I live in Louisiana.

devika08 @miss_lila furs are tricky. I have looked at furs listed here and I can't believe how low the prices are. The best thing for you would probably be to get it appraised but it may require you to travel.

devika08 @mbstuchell no poshers have said anything to me but I have read on other listings people saying they won't buy from someone who lists fur. I am not insensitive to the issue but I think I'm more apathetic. I agree that in some circles/ cultures it is a status symbol. Like I am a Virginia girl raised in the baptist church with furs and hats abound. I wanted one ever since I was a little girl. I have had people just reach out and pet my coat and then express shock that its real. I just ignore it. If someone throws paint on me, hmm, lets just say I'd be the last one they'd ever do that too. I think if we get criticized for fur you just politely shut them down. To each her own is the way I see it.

After studying this at length, i learned the horrific truth that Chinchillas are anally electrocuted while alive so as not to damage their fur for the coats. 😥It’s beyond cruel & gruesome. Their necks are broken. 100 chinchillas or as many as 60 minks are required to make one full-length fur coat. They’re m so much more beautiful alive & wearing the coats God gave them. Again, just sharing for those who are curious.

There are fur farms in which I have visited these animals are well well loved some being used as pets trained in their homes in their beds even sleeping with their sellers from birth for this purpose then if not sold they are kept changed cleaned shots, fed and very loved and adored by their sellers here in the u.s. when they die of natural causes ie: (foxes do not live past 8 years)

Few questions - does this zip up or button? What dress / shirt size does this fit? Is there any stretch to the material other than the sweater waist & sleeves? devika08 @mrskennedy702 hi so I think if you are a triple D you would potentially have issues. This fits a 4/6 and it hugs the body. Chinchilla skin is very delicate so it will pop before it will stretch.
