Vintage Dan River Debutante Deluxe Combed Percale Type 200 Set of (2) White Sheets Stated size: 81 x 108 BEFORE HEMMING. This is a Double/Full Flat Sheet fitting a Mattress width of 54 inches The sheets are NOB (new open box) because the back of the packaging long ago split, was taped up, then placed in a second bag which was then also taped up. This was the state in which the sheets were found. Dan River Mills' US production ended in 2006. An Apex price tag is still on the package (see photos). Apex was a Rhode Island department store whose operations largely ended in 2001. This dates the sheets as at least twenty years old, though we suspect they date back to at least the 1980's. Back: - Made of all combed yarns from premium American cotton to attain luxurious smoothness and durability - Finished thread count 204 or more threads to the square inch to give a balanced construction for longer wear - Carries the Good Housekeeping seal of approval - Minimum shrinkage in the width-approximately 6% in the length - Particular care used in bleaching or dyeing process to assure lasting whiteness of color. - Low non-cotton content. - Hems closely sewn. - Made with extra wide selvages to resist tearing at sides. - These finely woven combed percale sheets weigh less, therefore cost less to launder.
