Antique Nippon Marked Porcelain Serving Tray with Gold

Marked as made in Nippon and hand painted, this porcelain serving dish is perfect as a dresser tray or you could use in for a small serving tray. The dainty roses and gold dots and scroll work are simply gorgeous. There is a very faint blue on the top edge just before the gold gilded edging. There is a manufacturer's flaw on this piece where the glaze was not equally applied. In antiques, these small maker flaws actually increase the value of the piece. There is some slight wear to the gold gilding on the handles because it was used as a serving tray.
