Don't microwave these pieces and even though it says dishwasher safe top rack the temperature of some machines damage these. So unless you can ensure warm water rather than hot & dry cycle is not hot than the dishwasher will be perfect. Trivet is in good used condition it's heavy. Some of the chrome worn but hardly noticeable especially since your putting items on it.
