1940’s French clear Lucite reverse carved huge red floral button

Fantastic collectible button from France, it’s huge Approximately 1.75 x 1.75 x .50 inches. It has 2 loops on the back and the carving is exposed on the bottom, the color is a rich deep rose red. This was brought to the United States by a local dressmaker when she immigrated as a war bride. The button is fabulous both for a button collector or for current creative projects as jewelry, knitting ( imagine this on a cape or hat?).
