Vtg 1970's Male Female Screw Together Molten Brass Cufflinks Brutalist Modernist Cubist Abstract This pair of cufflinks is from our large collection of vintage jewelry. Totally, one of a kind, unique shape and construction. Absolutely stunning pair of Brutalist, Modernistic in the Cubist style, cufflinks. Approx. 3/4" x 1". They weigh 38 grams. The cuff links feature a detailed male and female made out of molten brass. The are screw together cufflinks, making three full turns to complete the pair. I have, at great lengths, tried to identify the origin and make of these cufflinks. They have been in my family since the early 1970's. I did consult an expert in Brutalist jewelry and she offered this description: Just from the modern screw threads and rough-hewn, brass molten forms of the figures, they may be mid-century studio brutalist pieces. But I can't be certain. The cufflinks are in excellent condition. This would be the perfect addition to a modernist jewelry collection! Very handsome cuff links that happen to be fine handmade art.
