Vintage - Wood Carving signed by Otoniel - Est. @ 40 to 50 years old - Rare

This is a very unique handmade wood carving. I could not find anything else like it during my research. It’s made of all wood with the exception of the string or thin cord that was used as the spokes of the turning wheel. The details on this piece are incredible and the time and effort the artist had to put into it are pretty amazing. Overall it’s in very nice condition for something that has been around for some 40, 50 years or more. It has a date on the bottom of it as well that appears to be 1935 but I’m not really sure what that date means, could it be almost 90 years old? The stamped information on the base/bottom of it is as follows: Artesania Otoniel - Barrio Jimenez 1935 - Rio Grande P. R. The artist has also signed it on the top side of the base in what appears to be a green ink and with his last name: Otoniel The figure itself does sway from side to side a bit, it may have been designed that way with one of his feet being lifted and sitting on part of his wheel spin assembly, just not sure.
