Vintage Wood Carved Santa Figure Jack Ashenfelter Signed 1989 Folk Art Primitive

Up for your consideration is a vintage wood carved Santa Claus figurine. Signed and dated 1989. He measures approx. 8 1/2" tall. After retiring from teaching in 1989, John spent the next 20 years pursuing woodcarving. He regularly attended craft shows where he sold his hand-carved wooden ducks and decorative Santa's. It was a slow and meticulous process—creating a high-quality piece, including painting, often took one to two weeks. Some surface marks. Please see photos. This is a really nice solid piece.
