Rich oxblood wool full-length riding cloak with a dramatic shoulder cape, genuine horn-style buttons, and a structured high-neck strap collar. Fully lined in satin. The buttons are a hallmark of mid-century studio tailoring — often carved from real horn or dense resin, valued today for their craftsmanship and patina.
Custom tailored by Damon’s of San Marino, a California workroom known for film-quality outerwear for Los Angeles costume houses through the 1950s–1980s. Damon’s pieces were built to endure studio lighting and long shoots, giving each cloak a distinctive weight and durability rarely seen today.
From Costume Rentals Corporation (CRC) — one of Hollywood’s most respected wardrobe houses. For nearly fifty years, CRC dressed productions across every genre, supplying authentic civilian and period garments to major studios including Universal, Paramount, and Warner Bros.
This design matches cloaks featured in Westworld, The Alienist, The Hateful Eight, and Cold Mountain — all CRC-credited productions drawing from their outerwear archives. While its exact screen use isn’t confirmed, it’s a quintessential example of CRC craftsmanship: weighty, camera-ready wool, detailed horn buttons, and a rich oxblood tone that photographs beautifully. A genuine artifact of Hollywood costume history. About 54.5” long from center back bottom to bottom of collar
