The textile is meticulously handwoven using a tradition Guatemala backstrap loom. This is then fastened onto premium vegetable tanned leather that is hand-tied using a fine leather lace around the border of the belt. Behind the Name: Chicchan, the symbol associated with divinity and visions, represents the deity of the Heavenly Serpent who takes on many kinds of forms in Maya culture.
