Vtg Steiff 1988 Ltd Ed "Roly-Poly" Clown Mohair Plush Toy Germany #1572/3000 This is an utterly delightful and colorful Steiff doll novelty replica based on an item that appeared in the Steiff line during the first quarter of the 20th century. He stands about 10.5 inches tall. The roly poly has a mohair ball-like body and chunky arms. Its face and hands are made from felt. The doll comes to life with blonde mohair hair, blue and black pupil eyes, felt ears, and the company's traditional center seam construction. He is decorated with a red felt hat, white felt ruff, and white pom poms. This item also has an internal rattle. Clown roly poly was made in 1988/89 in this size only in an edition size of 3,000. He is absolutely adorable and very happy indeed. Clown roly poly is in lovely, clean, like new condition without playwear. He retains his button in ear, and tag and button in his seam as his Steiff IDs. No box or additional paperwork available.
