I will include the original paper inserts that show age and storage history. - Material: Wood. My family stored them with individual paper inserts, which suggests they were considered a higher-end item, likely urushi lacquerware like some of my other confirmed pieces. However, I cannot guarantee the coating method for this item, so please purchase with that understanding. Provenance: This is from my grandparents’ collection in Japan. They were all about high-quality items and spent decades collecting well-made pieces, which are now vintage treasures. I’ve shipped many of them internationally to my home in the US and kept them, but I'm running out of space. I’m finding new homes where they’ll be appreciated.
