It ties under the chin too but that's optional you can tie it up in the back as shown in one photo OR you can add a nice wonderful beautiful long long floral scarf in place of the slightly raggedy under chin tie that's there right now (and look like Scarlett O-Hara!). Flat on top! There's still plenty of time to wear this , not to mention all the warm destination vacations out there. No labels or markings. No flaws either! Crown is 4" high and it's 22" around the inside . You will get a vintage hat box with this. It is big enough to protect the hat during shipment but it is not fancy, or in perfect condition but will protect the hat.
