Vintage Motionette Santa Claus Toymaker Animated Musical Figure 16" Made in Taiwan ROC Jolly vintage animated Santa Claus figure made in Taiwan, R.O.C., featuring classic motionette movement and a musical base that plays Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas and Santa Claus Is Coming to Town. Santa wears a candy-cane striped shirt, red velvet pants and a painter-style apron with rulers tucked into the pocket. His lifelike face, bushy white beard and whimsical expression give him delightful character. Hes all set to make toys or perhaps a few arts and crafts. Two switch settings: one for movement only and another for movement with music. Requires two C batteries (not included). Measures about 16" tall. Condition: This Santa was previously owned. Tested and works (see video). I did have to open the base and adjust the wiring to get him moving, so a wire may be coming loose. However, since repositioning, he has been working fine. Hes a little noisy, but what old man doesnt have creaky joints? Other notable blemishes: a small chip on his nose, scratches to the base, light discoloration on the apron and one sock and some wear to the hands with remnants of glue (he may have once held an accessory). Overall, he still presents cheerfully with wonderful nostalgic charm.
