Vintage Mid-Century Desk Display Ceramic Poodle Pen Holder - Japan

This is a vintage ceramic Poodle figurine with a pen holder built in. This is an adorable little ceramic pen holder which is great to display on any desk. It will certainly be a center of attention on display in an office of today. It is marked in gold with the word "JAPAN" and to the best of my knowledge it is from the Mid century 1950s or 1960s era. NOTE: Photos show sample of pens (pens not included) placed inside the pen holder section to depict what pens will display properly in this pen holder. Thicker type pens will not fit properly. Since this is an authentic mid-century item, it was designed for a smaller type writing instrument like what was used in those day. The thicker type pens with rubbery grips that we see today are way too thick to fit inside the opening of this pen holder. Just keep that in mind for displaying. Smaller thinner style pens or pencils should fit fine.
