Lovely vintage mid century floral teapot, likely from the 1940s, with a sleek, aerodynamic shape reminiscent of the Art Deco aesthetic and the Aladdin-style ceramics popular at the time. Although unmarked, it's a quality piece made of creamy white ceramic embellished with gold piping around the rim, extending to the spout, down the handle and surrounding the circumference of the lid. Pastel color decals on both sides of the pot and on the lid feature roses, columbines, primroses, morning glories and other flowers reminiscent of an English garden. It's a very substantial piece and in near mint condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approx. 10 1/2 in. from spout to handle x 5 1/2 in. tall to top of finial. The opening is 4 in. in diameter. Holds a generous 5 cups.
