This vintage pair of pierced earrings was part of Kenneth Jay Lane's K.J.L. for Avon "Renaissance Collection" from 1989. The large faux pearl in the center is surrounded by ornate, yellow gold plated metal work and 4 clear rhinestone accents. The earrings reflect key Renaissance design elements of the brooch/pendant from this same collection. The set is shown on page 24 of Sandra Sturdivant's "Identifying Avon Jewelry." This pair of earrings, however, is lovely on its own merits. Measurements: they are almost 1.5 inches tall by 1 inch wide. Marks: Each earrings signed on the back on an oval cartouche "K.J.L. for Avon."
