Vintage Japanese porcelain cat figurine referred to as Maneki-Neko or Lucky Cat

This is a vintage Japanese porcelain cat figurine, often referred to as a Maneki-Neko or "lucky cat". The figurine is decorated with hand-painted gold leaf details and patterns, characteristic of the Kutani "mori" style.  This type of figurine is a symbol of good fortune in Japanese culture.  The cat is a product of Takahashi, a company known for producing decorative porcelain items.  The figurine is likely from the 1980s or earlier.
