Vintage‎ Homemade 40s/50s(?) Dress

This dress stumps me a bit in regards to dating. If I am remembering correctly offhand I purchased it along with a 60s/70s Pendleton skirt from a farm in central Wisconsin, but this is much older than that Skirt was. I clearly have the went footwear on for this dress but I was mostly shooting 70s this day. This is a fairly sheer fabric that you will want a slip underneath. Shown on a small but sized more medium, I have waist tied fairly tightly in the back.
