VINTAGE 1950s DESCOWARE FE 22 BELGIUM 17-D 22 E SPECIAL FLAME ORANGE 8" DUTCH OVEN Very similar to Le Creuset, except it is not quite as terribly heavy as Le Creuset. Descoware was actually the preferred choice of renowned chef Julia Child for this very reason and often displayed her collection on her show. Descoware was a main competitor to Le Creuset, who eventually purchased the company in the 70's to solve the problem! Suitable for gas, electric and induction stove use.
