Shillito's was a major department store chain based in Cincinnati, Ohio, founded in 1830. The store was known for being a local institution and was one of the first department stores in Cincinnati. It was acquired by the Lazarus Company in 1928, but the Shillito's name remained until 1986, when the stores were rebranded as Lazarus. The Lazarus stores were later renamed Macy's in 2005.
Beau Brummell was a tie brand established in Cincinnati in 1920. The company's slogan was "As Beau Brummell ties go... so goes fashion". A young Ralph Lauren started his career designing ties for Beau Brummell in 1967 before he started his own business. The tie in the image is a vintage collaboration between these two Cincinnati-based companies.
Based on the style and the brand collaboration, the tie is likely from the era when both companies were operating, which would place it in the mid-20th century.
