This gorgeous women’s hat, possibly a church or special occasion hat, is characterized by its shallow, rounded crown and upturned brim. The hat is constructed from two-tone woven straw, with a darker black and a lighter tan/natural color on the inside. The most striking feature is the elaborate embellishment on the front, consisting of a large floral design and scrolling accents, all rendered in sequins and beads in shades of copper, bronze, and iridescent hues. These embellishments add a significant textural and visual element to the hat, suggesting it is designed for formal or celebratory wear. Excellent condition and measures 21.75” around the inside of the hat. Hat was made is Taiwan. Slight discoloration on black band inside the hat. Minor, see last picture.
