Beautiful vintage Austrian Velvethat in a rich moss/olive green with classic European Alpine styling and gorgeous decorative cordwork. The original interior label is marked “Hutmacher Wien” (Vienna hatmaker) and “Maria Enzersdorf.” The maker’s name/trademark is written in highly stylized script and is difficult to decipher with certainty, so the original label is photographed clearly for identification. The hat features a beautifully sculpted crown with a gently turned brim and an elaborate tone-on-tone twisted green cord hatband. The cord wraps around the crown and forms a decorative rosette-style knot at the side, finished with additional knotted cord ends. The deep moss/olive green velvet gives this hat a wonderful traditional European look and makes it a fabulous statement accessory.
