Vintage Angela Caputi Ruby Red and Black Multi-Strand Stretch Resin Bracelet. This is from my mother's jewelry collection. I love this bracelet but my wrist is too small for it. My mother was big boned and had larger wrists. Wonderfully lightweight and fun! Angela Caputi is an Italian jewelry designer and business owner. She has garnered a reputation for designing eye-catching fashion jewelry featuring colorful and often dramatic resin components since the mid-1970s. Caputi is the sole designer for all the pieces in her Angela Caputi Giuggiù collections. Her workshop is located on the ground floor of the historic 17th-century Palazzetto Mediceo in Florence, Italy. Her brand, Angela Caputi Giuggiù, alludes to her nickname “Giuggiù,” which translates loosely to “playful” in Italian. Some of Caputi’s designs have been worn by royalty. Queen Maxima of the Netherlands and Queen Mathilde of Belgium are notable examples. The centenarian fashion maven Iris Apfel is known to be a fan of Caputi’s chunky jewelry pieces, which are light in weight for their size. Angela Caputi has received several awards for her contributions to the fashion and art industry.
