“Burberrys" or "Burberrys of London": Items featuring an "s" at the end of the brand name are genuine vintage pieces. The brand officially changed its name and dropped the "s" in 1999. Rare vintage 1990s Burberrys’ of London full-length hooded coat in classic light beige/stone with iconic Burberry Nova Check detailing. An incredible archival Burberry piece with a relaxed, dramatically long silhouette and understated heritage styling. Features a hood lined in the instantly recognizable beige, black, white and red check, button-front closure, adjustable drawcord hood, front welt pockets and button-tab cuffs. This coat belonged to my mother and dates to the 1990s. The vintage “Burberrys’ of London” label predates the brand’s later Burberry naming and gives the piece that collectible old-school British luxury look. Perfect over denim, trousers, a chunky knit or even sweats for an effortless old money / quiet luxury / English countryside look.
