@asocalstyle hello! Thank you for asking about this item. I’m posting additional photos of any flaws now! No smells… odors….rips, stains or major flaws other then the noted ones in photos! It has a magnetic snap closure at top. No zipper. Hope this helps

@asocalstyle I have never washed it and not sure if Vera Bradley bags are okay to be washed in a machine. That would be a personal choice. I would probably do a spot cleaning with hot soapy water and a toothbrush 😉
