VINTAGE 1979 POLO WESTERN RALPH LAUREN DENIM BLUE JEAN JACKET RED WOOL LINING L

This is an extremely rare jacket. Dates from 1979 when Ralph Lauren began his short-lived line "Polo Western." One owner. By Polo Western by Ralph Lauren, men's size large. Basic bomber style jacket in blue cotton jean denim outer. Front and cuff logo metal riveted buttons, two large patch pockets at the front (like back pockets on blue jeans) with loop embroidery, "R.L. POLO" branded metal rivets. Adjustable tabs at the waist sides for a custom fit. Tan corduroy point collar, warm red/black wool plaid inner lining, and quilted inner lined sleeves. Large brown leather "Polo Western" logo patch on the right back waistband. There is an American Flag patch that was sewn on at a later date (late 1980s) that was not original to the jacket. Measures about 24 inches across at the underarms, 20.5 inches shoulder to shoulder, 24 inches total length at the center back collar base to the bottom hem edge, and 27 inch sleeve length. The denim shows natural wear and has a vintage look to it (I have not had it cleaned). There is some color fade from the shoulder to cuffs on the left sleeve as shown. One small metal rivet is missing on the adjustable tab above the leather brand tag. No rips, tears, stains, or worn areas. Own a piece of history! My home is smoke free.
