sc631 This is very similar to the Women's Nuptse vest and that's a good thing. The Nuptse vest with the same 700 fill down is incredibly warm but light in weight. It's one of my favorite vests and I love wearing it.

sc631 When I first wore this vest I was surprised how light it was in my hand. It's not heavy when you wear it either. Trust me, when you wear this you won't feel the cold.

sc631 You'll get lots of compliments when you wear it. When I first got it my friends wanted to touch it to feel how thick/padded it is (some asked; some just did it!). But I know why; the nylon especially on the shoulders and the collar is super smooth and just begs to be touched. The collar is really comfortable when you fully zip into it. It has a lovely fleece lining too.

sc631 By the way; well done on keeping this vest in such great condition. I can see how thick the baffles on the front, back and in the sleeves still are. The thicker/fluffier they are the warmer the jacket will be. After so many years it's all too common for them to have flattened out. Don't take comment of years the wrong way; this vest was phased out in 2011 but is still very popular. I really like it too.
