Supreme and Louis Vuitton had once been engaged in a legal battle after Supreme used a reappropriated image of Louis Vuitton's classic monogram for their skateboard decks, but in 2017, made a historic collaboration that bridged streetwear and high fashion. This particular piece is brand new, straight from the Louis Vuitton ateliers, has never been touched by human hands, and is quite frankly a museum-quality piece. It has both the LV logo and Supreme logo (in white Futura Heavy Oblique font) on red Epi leather, the first permanent leather collection of Louis Vuitton. The leather goes through a special dying process which allows for rich, vibrant colors. It’s also highly durable and water resistant. Louis Vuitton’s collaboration with Supreme, dubbed the "coolest streetwear brand in the world right now" by GQ was first shown at Paris Men’s Fashion Week in January 2017.
