Sheffield Silver Plated Vintage Spoon Rest - Set Of Two -Unused

The object in the image is a silver-plated casserole spoon rest, also known as a spoon tong rest holder, made by the Sheffield company. It is designed to hold a serving spoon in place by clipping to the side of a dish or casserole. The three prongs are topped with decorative pineapple finials. The item is marked "Sheffield" and "Silver Plate Made In Italy". These items are vintage, typically dating from the 1960s-1970s. One is out of original protective package, thus the antique patina. Both could be shined to a beautiful shiny silver. Rest on edge of bowl or plate, hold spoons from falling into dish. Elegant, useful! a true collector's item.
