Schiaparelli vintage serpent-cornucopia earrings, circa 1950s

A scarce 1950s Schiaparelli design built on a scaled cornucopia curve that wraps around a faceted aurora borealis stone shifting from violet to turquoise, finished w/ small iridescent rhinestones at the tip. The cast-metal setting and hand-placed stones reflect the inventive, myth-leaning jewelry she released throughout the decade; this specific serpentine form appears only in scattered collector references, adding to its rarity.
