Royal Albert launched Old Country Roses in 1962, and it quickly became one of the most beloved bone-china patterns of all time. While the dinnerware line continued for decades, decorative accessories like this floral posy candleholder were produced only during earlier manufacturing runs, making them harder to find today.
This piece is a petite garden in porcelain form—hand-assembled china roses in deep red, warm yellow, and soft petal pink arranged atop a scalloped base decorated in the classic OCR pattern. Perfect for cottagecore, shabby chic, traditional, or romantic décor. Small but sturdy, and very much a display-worthy collectible.
Backstamp dates this piece to approx. 1962–1973.
Genuine Royal Albert Old Country Roses
Bone china with applied 3D porcelain roses
Colors: red, pink, yellow, green
Scalloped footed base with OCR transfer florals
Great vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs noted (OCR floral posies often chip easily, so this is a nice example). Light, age-appropriate wear photographed where relevant.
Lovely for table décor, tea-time displays, vanities, or small vignettes. This piece was found out in the wild and lovingly cleaned, researched, and stored in a pet-free corner of my smoke-free home. Questions or offers welcome!
