Includes 3 glass flowers and each has a box of wicks. These are new in the box- old stock. Very Unique. These 3 are vintage glass floating flowers designed by Roberto Niederer. The lamps were produced for a German company called G.A. Glafey in Nürnberg. The boxes of candles are marked with "G.A. Glafey Nürnberg" and "Qualität extra fein N° 14," The floating flowers work by using a glass float to hold a wick, which burns a liquid fuel. The design of these specific lamps, often called "St. Peter Nacht-Lichte" (St. Peter Night Light), typically involves a glass bowl filled with water and a layer of oil on top. (refined lamp oil, such as liquid paraffin or whatever the manufacturer recommends). The glass flower piece acts as a float, holding a small wick in the center. The wick draws the oil upwards, which serves as the fuel for the flame [1]. The water provides a stable base and keeps the glass float level
I am including these delicate glass "bubbles" shown in photos that could also be used with the floating candles but I am unsure of their intended use.
