Returning old A&F items for store credit!

I see a lot of NWT Abercrombie & Fitch items listed and I recently took an item I purchased Sept. 2019 back to Abercrombie - unworn with tags and a receipt/it was purchased attached to my a&f account (not sure if that matters). And received store credit. I just want to post if others thought you had to return within the day allotment. So if you shop there regularly, go see if you can get your store credit!
