ROMAN GOLD FLORAL 22 KARAT ROYAL CHINA PRE-1940s FRENCH HAND PAINTED set 2 BOWLS

Pattern: Roman Gold (center motif floral, not figures) Company: Royal China Era: pre-1940s 2-item set: two standard soup bowls (identical except for slightly differing center floral painting) 22 Karat gold encrusted porcelain with burgundy banding and floral hand-painted "French Decoration" Bowls measure 7.5" diameter and 1 1/2" tall. COLLECTOR'S NOTE: This set of 2 bowls is part of an enormous 12+ place setting collection in this pattern that I am auctioning off over the next few weeks (please see the final 2 images above for a view of the entire set - the entire set NOT included in this listing). The known history is as follows: My grandparents purchased a house in Pacific Palisades in the early 1940s completely furnished by an interior decorator - they bought everything in the house, down to the linens, china, silverware, artwork, etc. This set was included and, as far as I know/remember, was rarely (if ever) used.
