RARE Authentic Salvador Teran Vintage Mexico Mayan God 22K Plated Necklace

Spectacular Salvador Teran Mayan or Aztec god necklace. Extremely rare and collectible. Salvador Teran (1920-1974) was a gifted silversmith and designer. He worked for Spratling in his Taxco workshop until 1939. Many of his famous works of art were sold in a department store called "Marbel". This is an exceptionally rare necklace and is in excellent condition! This has to be one of his finest pieces. It is composed of 22kt gold plate and ceramic construction on the Mayan god face. The condition of this piece is excellent vintage condition, (looks unworn), with no wear to the gold tone. The pendant section of the necklace is clearly hallmarked with his name, Marbel, and the number of the piece. The colors on the pottery depicting the "terrible" faces of the gods are stunning! The pendant portion of the necklace is 6" in height and 2" across at the widest point. Fabulous and Rare Art Piece by a famous metal artist! Definitely a STATEMENT vintage set! !
