The "Brown Drip" or "Gourmet Brown" style, characterized by a shiny, dark brown glaze with an ivory foam trim, gained popularity in the 1960s through the 1980s. Pfaltzgraff's Distinctive Glaze: While other brands like Hull and McCoy made "Brown Drip" pieces that could be mixed and matched, Pfaltzgraff's version had a noticeably darker brown glaze, almost black, making it visually distinct.
