Pfaltzgraff "Brown Drip" super dinner plate, also known as "Gourmet Brown Drip" pattern.
The "Brown Drip" or "Gourmet Brown" style, characterized by a shiny, dark brown glaze with an ivory foam trim, gained popularity in the 1960s through the 1980s.
Pfaltzgraff's Distinctive Glaze:
While other brands like Hull and McCoy made "Brown Drip" pieces that could be mixed and matched, Pfaltzgraff's version had a noticeably darker brown glaze, almost black, making it visually distinct.
Pre-Owned Condition. As dinner plates go, there are marks on the face of the plates from being used in dining. But in a great overall condition, especially due to the age.
"Gourmet Brown," was produced by Pfaltzgraff from 1950 to 1987.
It is a stoneware design with a distinctive brown drip glaze that was very popular during the mid-20th century.
The pattern was discontinued in 1987.
