exquisite_soles @tatlone as pictured, the laces do not tighten as in a typical pair of shoes. In order to tighten, you would have to pull any slack out of the laces and then tie a simple knot at the end to secure. You can use them either loose or on the snugger side, depending on your preference 👍🏼
